Job: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Description

Chief executive officers (CEO) plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate the operations of an organization and its major departments or programs. In addition to the CEO, other titles – such as board chair, president, vice president, school superintendent, county administrator, and tax commissioner are found in businesses, corporations, nonprofit institutions, governments, and organizations.

Necessary Education

Varies, dependent on the position responsibilities. Many top executives have a Bachelor’s or higher degree.
