Job Description

Office managers are employed in virtually every sector of the economy. Specific functions can vary considerably, but common duties include performing administrative tasks, maintaining departmental equipment and machinery, and planning the work of their staff and supervising them.

Necessary Education

High School Diploma
Many require an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree

Helpful High School Courses

English, Mathematics, Business courses

Working Conditions

Wide variety of work settings but most work in clean, well lit offices
Work a 40-hour week and may work nights, weekends and holidays
