Job Description
Retail Sales Clerks assist customers in finding and buying merchandise. Merchandise may range from clothes to electronic equipment to automobiles.

Working Conditions
- Works in clean, well-lit stores
- Work requires standing for long periods
- Work may require evenings and weekend hours and longer hours during peak holiday retail periods
- Work can be repetitious

Career Ladder Information
- Experience and participation in training and seminars earns positions with greater responsibility, higher earnings and commissions
