Job Description

Stockbrokers are also known as security and commodities sales representatives and financial consultants. They help clients buy and sell securities such as stocks and bonds. Hard, fast-paced work is necessary to increase accounts and clients.

Working Conditions

  • Works in offices at computer terminals and “quote boards”
  • Usually works a 40-hour week
  • May need to work evenings or weekends
  • Work can be hectic and fast-paced
