Job: Security Guard

Job Description

Security Guards patrol and inspect property to protect it against theft, fire, vandalism and crime. They usually call for assistance from an ambulance, wrecker, police or fire department when needed. They often write reports giving information about what happened on their shift.

Necessary Education

  • Work requires much time standing and walking
  • Work usually is an 8-hour shift and 40 hours per week
  • Work requires different shifts and may include holidays
