Job Description
Athletic Coaches and Instructors teach physical education and team sports. They also help individuals improve their physical fitness.
Necessary Education
School Coaches and Sports Instructors usually have a Bachelors Degree. Sometimes certification is required for a specialized area such as aerobics, karate, golf or tennis.

Biology, Communications, Health, Physical Education, Participation in sports
Working Conditions
- Work hours are irregular and late afternoon or evening hours are often required
- May have to travel to sporting events
- Work is often strenuous
- May work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
