Job Description
School Administrators provide direction, leadership and day-to-day management of educational activities in schools, colleges, correctional institutions, businesses and community organizations. They set standards and goals, and establish policies and procedures. They supervise managers, teachers, counselors, coaches and many other educational employees.
Necessary Education
Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree
Helpful High School Courses
Business, Computer Applications, English, Mathematics, Science
Working Conditions
- Most work more than 40 hours per week
- Night and weekend work may be required
- Most work is performed in school buildings or on school grounds

- Advanced or specialized degrees and/or transferring to a larger school system, can lead to positions with more responsibility and pay
