Job: Secondary School Teacher

Teachers act as facilitators, monitors and coaches as they help students learn and apply concepts in a specific subject area. Secondary School Teachers help their students delve more deeply into subjects introduced in elementary school.

Necessary Education

Bachelor’s Degree including completion of an approved Teacher Education Program and certification

Helpful High School Courses

English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Applications; subjects related to teaching interest

Working Conditions

  • 2003, Delaware average annual salary, $53,050
