Job Description

Dental Hygienists clean and examine patients’ teeth and gums. They also teach patients good oral health habits.

Necessary Education

Associate Degree

Helpful High School Courses

Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Health Education

Working Conditions

  • Works in clean, well-lit offices
  • Must wear safety glasses, surgical masks and gloves
  • Work may be full-time, part-time, evenings or weekends
