Job: Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
Job Description
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors help people deal with the personal, social and vocational effects of physical or mental disabilities. They help clients develop a program that will help the client find and keep a job and live independently.
Necessary Education
Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree is preferred
Helpful High School Courses
Biology, Computer Applications, English, Health
Working Conditions:
- Usually work 40-hour week with occasional evening hours
- Work may be stressful
- Work requires high physical and emotional energy required
- Usually work in an office setting, but home or job visits are necessary
