Do you like to help people? Are you interested in how the human body functions? Do friends think you are caring? Would you like to observe and note changes in patients? Are you interested in helping people stay healthy and physically fit? Do you work well as a team member? Would you be able to learn new technology quickly? These characteristics are often important in health occupation careers.

People in health careers help others stay healthy or treat those who become ill. Depending on the job, their daily tasks may include diagnosis and treatment of a medical condition, caring for someone who is ill or injured, taking an x-ray, doing a blood test, filling a prescription, or interpreting test results.
