Welcome To Human Services:
Do you like to help people? Are you a good listener? Are you empathetic? Would you like to do research? Would you like to counsel people? Are you interested in how the mind functions? These characteristics are often important in human services careers.

People in human services careers help others deal with their problems so they can enjoy life and become productive, responsible members of society. Depending on the job, their daily tasks might include helping a homeless family find shelter, organizing a recreation program, coordinating activities for nursing home residents, counseling abused women and children, helping an unemployed father find a job, leading a funeral service or helping a patient deal with cancer.
