Job: Meteorologist/Atmospheric Scientist
Job Description
Meteorologists study the atmospheres physical characteristics, motion and processes. They study information on air pressure, temperature, humidity and wind velocity; and apply physical and mathematical relationships to make short- and long-range weather forecasts. They use satellites, radar and sophisticated computer models of the worlds atmosphere to make their forecast.

Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Earth Science, English
Working Conditions
- Work can involve night, weekend and holidays
- Overtime may be required during weather emergencies
- Work sites include airports, remote areas and even in aircrafts
- Those not involved in forecasting, work regular hours, usually in offices
